10 TV Shows You Should Be Binge-Watching This Summer

Because summer is in full swing, that means we are now in the land of reruns. There’s no reason to get stuck watching something you’ve already seen, especially since you can binge-watch tons of fabulous shows before the fall TV season starts up again. Here are 10 TV shows you should be catching up on right now!

1. Bloodline

You can catch this amazing, suspenseful thriller on Netflix now. Besides having a super talented cast (including Sissy Spacek and Kyle Chandler), the show will draw you in with flash-forwards that let you know you’re in for a roller-coaster ride from the very beginning. There’s also the bonus of the gorgeous Florida Keys setting and a short season of 13 episodes that will have you completely enthralled with each and every episode.

2. Game of Thrones

It’s virtually impossible for you to avoid GoT spoilers if you don’t watch the show. But, even if you know about some shocking deaths already, the action on steroids is plenty to keep you interested. Five seasons have aired (with 50 episodes), so if you have some time to kill, dig into this fantasy drama, so you can finally talk around the watercooler about the latest character to be slayed!

3. Orange is the New Black

OITNB is one of the most binge-watched and talked about shows currently airing. Season 3 just premiered, so you can catch up with all 40 episodes on Netflix now. Ever wondered what it’s like to be in a women’s prison? This show provides tons of insight with a colorful cast of characters that are definitely making their way into mainstream media (everyone’s heard of Crazy Eyes, right?).

4. The Americans

Throughout 3 seasons of FX’s show (available for streaming on Amazon and iTunes), viewers have actually fallen in love with 2 Russian spies that are plotting against America. Thanks to expert writing and flawless acting from Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, we forgive the characters - even when they’re doing some pretty unforgivable things.

5. Empire

Tune into “Empire” for main character Cookie’s outrageous outfits, the incredible songs, or the soap-opera like drama. Just make sure you binge-watch the first season (on Amazon, Fox.com, Hulu, or iTunes) before the second season premieres in September. You don’t want to be the only one not in on the “Empire” phenomenon (it was the first series in 23 years to have viewership go up every single week!)

6. Younger

Loved “Sex and the City”? Then, you should check out creator Darren Star’s latest series that recently aired on TVLand. The first 12 episodes are now available to stream on Amazon, iTunes, and TVLand.com, so you can check out how Sutton Foster’s character, 40-year-old Liza Miller, reinvents herself as a 26-year-old in order to land a new job (and a hot younger boyfriend!). The show has a stunning ensemble cast (including Debi Mazar and Hilary Duff) and some great fashion inspiration!

7. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Only creator Tina Fey could turn a rather unfunny situation (being held captive by a cult) into a downright hilarious comedy starring Ellie Kemper. With outrageous, eccentric characters played by Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski, binge-watch the 13-episode first season on Netflix anytime you’re in need of a good laugh.

8. Grace and Frankie

You might not think you’d have much to relate to in a show about 2 women in their 70s. But anyone who’s gone through major changes in their life can find reasons to laugh along with this heartwarming comedy from Netflix. Two other reasons to love this show: the comedic genius partnership of Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin - 2 actresses that even millennials can appreciate!

9. Justified

Although the series ended in April, this show will probably go down as a classic in TV history, so you should still check it out. It’s a tad of an investment at 6 seasons and 78 episodes (available on Amazon and iTunes), but it’ll be well-worth it once you get sucked into the drama of US Marshal Raylan Givens and his bad-ass crime fighting ways.

10. Hannibal

If “Silence of the Lambs” is your idea of a perfect movie, then you’ll love this retelling of Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Now in it’s third season (currently airing on NBC), you can check out the first 29 episodes on Amazon and iTunes to get caught up. Although it can get a tad gory at times, the twisted relationship between FBI profiler Will Graham and Dr. Lecter is enough to fully grab your attention. You just might not feel like eating after watching it.

Now that you have some suggestions on what to binge-watch, you should make sure you have the perfect device to watch your shows. Toshiba has a number of fantastic options, including 2-in-1 laptops (like the Satellite Click 2 or Satellite Radius), which provide flexibility, or tablets (like the Encore series that starts at just $179!) for portability. Their fast Intel processors mean that you can stream your shows without worrying about slow loading times! Want to save on these devices? Don’t forget to use a Toshiba coupon code at checkout!

Happy watching!
