7 Better Ways to Procrastinate Than “Flappy Bird”

As of Saturday, the sudden hit game “Flappy Bird” is gone from the market, but never from our hearts. It was a whirlwind romance, Flappy Bird – we fell for you so fast and so hard, and then you just left us, without even an explanation. But we can’t just sit here feeling sorry for ourselves forever. There are plenty of other ways to avoid studying for that exam or writing that paper.

1. Watch the Olympics.

This actually should be a legitimate excuse if you turn in a paper late. The Olympics are history in the making, people! What could be more important than that? Plus, it’s always incredible to see a lot of people get together and do things that they’re just really, really good at. If you haven’t already seen it, check out this video of the amazing 15-year-old Russian figure skater, Julia Lipnitskaya.

2. Watch the new Game of Thrones Season 4 Teaser.

Winter The next season is coming. If you’re not already excited enough, you will be by the time you finish watching this teaser.

3. Learn to make origami.

Origami is easy and fun! (And a cool party trick, right?) You can start by learning how to make little stars and boxes, and then graduate on to flowers and cranes. All you need to get started is a piece of paper cut in a square. This site has tons of tutorials for folding easy origami, plus more complex instructions, and even guides for dollar-bill and napkin folding.

4. Finally fix that thing that’s broken.

Everyone has that one broken thing. You know. The drawer that won’t close / open, or the bookshelf that’s looking a little more slanted every day, or the bike with a flat tire. There’s never a better time to put on your handyman cap and fix that thing than when you have a paper due tomorrow morning.

5. Actually just go to the library and do it (not recommended).

This is always an option. Also, the library being closed is not an excuse, really. On the internet, the library is never closed. And it being too expensive is also not an excuse, because access to Questia, a full online library can actually be pretty cheap. But, like I said, this option is not recommended – until all your other options have been exhausted, that is.

6. Check the weather. Nope. Too cold for schoolwork.

You have to be careful where you get your information on the internet, because not every source can be trusted. When it comes to weather, the obvious trusted choice is DogeWeather.com. Much reliable. So weather. Wow.

7. Candy Crush. Duh.

Oh Candy Crush, you’re always there for me!
