Avanquest Takes on the Gaming World with Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear

The thing about Avanquest, is that it’s an amazing one-stop-shop when it comes to software. You might know it well if you’ve tried their Bookkeeping software, Bookkeeper 2012. Or if you’ve used their incredibly user-friendly WebEasyPro to design a website. Avanquest has everything from PC utility programs, to language learning software. You could be editing spreadsheets by day, and designing greeting cards by night, all with the help of Avanquest. Day or night, you can bet you'll be saving big money if you're using our Avanquest coupon codes for any of these programs.

Now that Avanquest has dominated the computer software world, it looks like they’re ready for new digital adventure. Early last week it was announced that Avanquest will be publishing the latest installment of Xbox’s Heavy Fire military action game series. Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear will be released on August 2, 2013 for Xbox 360.

The concept of this game is a dangerous combat mission where the player is trying to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In order to complete the mission, the player needs to rescue a friendly spy and retrieve the secret plans from an Iranian nuclear weapons facility, before muscling their way into enemy territory. Unlike previous Heavy Fire games, Shattered Spear introduces several new key elements including a multi-directional multi-cover system, sniping, night vision, new distinct weapons, and new vehicle levels.

Another cool perk of this game is that apparently it’s great for casual gamers who are new to the whole ‘shooter’ experience. I’ll be honest, I’ve never tried it myself, but I’ve been dying to give it a go. I’ve just been intimidated by the whole gamer / shooter world, but this sounds like a great place to start. And if you’re one of those millenials that loves to be rewarded (like me), good news! Heavy Fire: Shattered Spear also has 60 unlockable achievements that are just waiting to be claimed.

Sounds like gritty, innovative, magnificent gamer-heaven. See you there?
