How to Copy the Looks From New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week took the world by storm...literally. Many fashion bloggers and magazine writers decided not to brave the deluge of snow, and chose rather to watch the shows live online instead.

In case you don’t live in New York or you decided to forgo being outside in a blizzard, there is still a way you can get the deets on the designer’s upcoming looks. Since you can’t purchase the items yet, here are some ways to copy the NYFW designs that appeared on the runway. You don’t even have to shop different stores – just head to Luisaviaroma for all of the following looks.

Long, White Dress

Marc Jacobs’ show focused on ethereal shades of white, resulting in some bloggers saying the look resembled someone ‘going to a spa.’ However, the idea of a loose, flowy dress is perfect for spring. Stella McCartney has an Organza Bottom Viscose Satin Long Dress, which has a refreshingly casual feel to it. No need to wait for Jacobs’ version to hit the stores.

Bohemian Sweater

Although Ralph Lauren just premiered his new bohemian / Native American prints, he’s already released some great hippie-esque pieces. This Honeycomb Knit Cardigan is glam enough so you don’t give off that ‘I’m so green, I don’t shower’ vibe.

Metallic Jacket

The Rodarte sisters put out a fabulous show (not to mention it was Star Wars-themed!). But the standout pieces were definitely the shiny, metallic jackets. If you need one now, DSquared has a hot pink Stretch Wool Toile Jacket that’s just what you need to brighten up the rest of your winter.

Color-Blocked Dress

Phillip Lim’s show contained some great pieces featuring color-blocks (most notably a furry coat and a black-and-white dress). However, for spring, this Vionnet Color-Blocked Viscose Jersey Dress is the perfect option for when you want to go sexy, yet chic.

Briefcase-Like Shoulder Bag

Victoria Beckham’s collection was decidedly dark – basically black was the only color in her show. A great accessory for the models were the masculine briefcase-looking handbags. The goal is to snag a structured one that almost looks like a camera bag. The Proenza Schouler PS1 Medium Lux Leather Satchel Bag is a great find if you want to capture a more rugged attitude.

Lace-Up Boots

It was all about the shoes at the Rag & Bone show. Aside from the somewhat out-there mules covered in shearling, everyone was talking about the awesome lace-up boots. In case you need a pair to help you throughout the rest of these nasty snow storms, check out Frye’s Vintage Leather Studded Boots for a great worn-in look.

Overall, NYFW was a success, but the real winner will be you if you take advantage of the Luisaviaroma coupon codes. They’ll help you save big bucks while you transition into spring!
