You could say CouponPal's Founder, Scott Elling, has made Vegas bow down a few times. From $100,000 bottle service and playing blackjack with deadmau5 to having his laptop, wallet, and gear stolen, he's experienced the highs and lows that Vegas has to offer.

Thankfully, he's learned a thing or two over the years and is ready to come to the rescue and share some of his best Las Vegas tips with you.

Let’s talk hotels. According to Scott, when you're looking for a place to stay, make sure your top two have the following:

  • 1) A kitchen(ette) (Elara and MGM Signature have my favorites)
  • 2) Free Wi-Fi (or at least the price is included in the resort fees)
  • 3) Proximity to the main event and other activities
  • 4) 24-hour restaurant or room service
  • 5) A gym (improves recovery time and minimizes guilt)
  • 6) Good price (we obviously all want the best bang for our buck)
  • 7) User reviews (I won’t touch anything with less than a 4 out of 5 satisfaction rating)
  • 8) Promotions (on top of a lowest price, including discount codes, hotels will offer additional incentives to get you in their door like free show tickets, resort credits, etc.)
