Over the past couple of weeks, designers have been showing off their latest collections in fashion shows around the world. Now that we’ve seen what will be hot for spring, the shoe styles that will be on trend have revealed themselves to me. Here are my favorite pairs (including some other less expensive options as well)! Check out my picks for the 9 trends to buy, and shop now, so you’ll be all set for spring!
1. Fancy flats
Fancy flats are always on-trend, because they’re easy to style and super comfortable! The Aruna Seth Crystal Butterfly Suede Flats (available at Luisaviaroma) are the epitome of elegance, and they come in several colors (including pink, blue, turquoise, and pale yellow), making them a fun pick for spring.
Another great way to look fancy is to rock a chained look, like these Three Chainz Pointy Ankle Flats from GoJane. They come in both coral and beige and are just $27.10! Still want to save on the price tag? Snag a coupon code before you check out!
2. Gladiator sandals
Gladiator sandals are a perfect option for spring, because you can pair them nicely with a skirt or dress (now that winter is finally on the way out!). They’re also a more interesting choice - as opposed to other more boring sandals. The Valentino Rockstud Leather Sandals from Luisaviaroma are ideal if you’re trying to pull off a more edgy look. And, you can save on the cost by using a Luisaviaroma discount code!
You can push the gladiator look even further by wearing calf-length sandals, like the Wild Rose Studded Strappy Caged Gladiator Flat Sandals (for just $42.80!). You can choose either black or white sandals, and save big at checkout!
The ‘90s are back in a big way, and you can tell by the resurgence of clogs on the runways and in stores. I’m obsessed with the Topshop Smock Leather Mule Clogs for $90. They’d go great with a pair of skinny jeans, and would work for day or night.
If you want to spend less than $90, try the Faux Leather Platform Clogs from Forever 21. They’re available in both tan and black for just $34.90! Although they’re a tad higher than the Topshop ones, the back strap will help make them easier to walk in!
4. Lace-up sandals
Lace-up sandals are an easy way to add a little bit of femininity to your look (without appearing too overly girly). Luisaviaroma offers the insanely gorgeous Giuseppe Zanotti Tumbled Leather Gladiator Sandals that lace up (so you’re working in both the lace-up and gladiator sandal trends!). I also love the gold details on the straps!
I’m also obsessed with these On Pointe D’Orsay Espadrille Flats from GoJane. The lace up detail reminds me of ballet slippers, but the espadrille style makes them look totally fresh for spring. Plus, they’re just $18.90!
See by Chloe always makes exceptionally adorable shoes, including these Leather Mules (available at Luisaviaroma). I love that they’re just dressy enough to wear for work or for drinks out with friends.
For a slighter less expensive mule, try French Connection’s Meena Open Toe Heels. They’re super classy, come in both off white and black, and run for about $145. Don’t forget to save on this price with a promo code!
6. Flatform sandals
At first, I had a little trouble getting on board with the flatform trend. I thought they were a little too funky looking...and then, I started thinking about how comfortable they look, and now I’m excited to buy a pair for spring. These Hogan Suede and Leather Sandals from Luisaviaroma fit perfectly with the normcore trend that’s so hot right now.
There are several good budget options for flatform sandals, including Forever 21’s Faux Leather ones. They come in really fun colors (like pewter and mint), as well as black, and they’re only $32.90!It’ll definitely be hard to go back to wearing heels after you try these out!
Colorblocking has been pretty on-trend in fashion for awhile now, but it’s just starting to hit footwear. Luisaviaroma has a great selection of colorblock Birkenstocks, that are both stylish and comfortable!
The trend is also easy to tackle with high heels. I love these fun Neon Top of the World Scaled Heels from GoJane. They’re only $26.30, and the snakeskin fabric gives it a unique look. Also, who doesn’t love a dash of pink in their footwear?
8. Mixed media
The mixed media trend can be somewhat difficult to pull off with your everyday looks - mixing prints is hard! Therefore, trying mixed media out on shoes is an awesome option! Luisaviaroma has Elena Iachi Printed Cotton Satin Pumps that are absolutely beautiful - and the pastel colors are definitely ideal for spring!
Another super fun version of mixed media comes from Net-a-Porter. Their J. Crew Stella Printed Leather Pumps will be the talk of everyone when you rock them. Although they’re a tad pricey at $260, you can use a discount code at checkout to lower the cost!
9. High-top sneakers
I’m all for wearing sneakers - they make my feet very happy! So, I was definitely excited to see that high-top sneakers are in for spring. You for sure can’t beat the casual cool feel of these Golden Goose Deluxe Brand High-Topsfrom Luisaviaroma! They look like Converse but much higher-end.
If you still want to look a tad dressy, try these Faux Leather High-Top Sneakers from UrbanOG. You can’t beat the price of $16.90, and you’ll still create a polished look with these sneaks.
