Thrifty Girl's Haul at Old Navy

I’ve been doing the Thrifty Girl hauls for several months now, and yet it still thrills me when I happen upon some good deals. Last month’s haul at ModCloth wasn’t one of my best, since I only got 4 items for $50. So, I decided to tackle Old Navy for September, because I know they have consistently low prices (where else can you find $2 flip flops?). Here’s what I managed to find for a budget of just $50.

I specifically shop the Sale section of the site because this is where the best deals are.

Right away, I find the Printed Cross-Front Dress in navy. It’s on sale for $11.97 (a fantastic price for a dress!) and is perfect for the transition between summer and fall. I love the idea of wearing nude flats to dress it up a little as well.

I continue to browse and come across the Linen-Blend Tee for just $14. It’s simple and casual, and a similar style at Express would cost me $49.90. Uh...easy decision.

I’ve been looking for a tan-colored tee for awhile, and this Dolman-Sleeve Top in Get Your Teak On (cute name, right?) is just $14 - a lot cheaper than I would find elsewhere (like the $28 option from Nordstrom). I plan on pairing this with a simple cardigan or blazer.

I’m always on the lookout for tops that go easily with jeans (they’re especially good for those days when I can’t be bothered to put in a ton of effort). I’ve totally fallen in love with the blue floral print on this Slub-Knit Tee - and my heart is even happier when I see the $5.99 price tag that comes with it!

The Sale section is full of fun tank tops, and since summer is pretty much over, they’re all marked down! This Lace-Trim Perfect Tank in gray with white hearts is only $6. I can already see myself wearing this with jeans and gray flats.

Another great option is the Perfect Pop Color Tank with black and white stripes. It gives off a cool ‘60s vibe (one of fall’s fashion trends), but it’s casual enough that it can be dressed down with jeans.

So, with these 6 items I’ve reached my $50 budget. The subtotal before tax is $54.96, to be exact.

Plus, I know with my Old Navy coupon code I can snag free shipping since my order is over $50.

Before I’m ready to check out, I look over the Old Navy homepage one more time to make sure I’m not missing any promotions. Well, lo and behold, they’re offering 20% off my entire purchase!

That means there are some serious discounts to be had. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Printed Cross-Front Dress = $11.97 to $9.58

  • Linen-Blend Tee = $14.00 to $11.20

  • Dolman-Sleeve Top = $14 to $11.20

  • Printed Slub-Knit Tee = $5.99 (already on sale)

  • Lace-Trim Perfect Tank = $6.00 to $4.80

  • Perfect Pop-Color Tank = $3.00 (already on sale)

So, my merchandise total was $45.77, plus $4.12 for tax, which brought my total to $49.89! This is my first Thrifty Girl haul with the total actually coming in under $50! Not bad for 1 dress, 3 tops, and 2 tanks!

Stay tuned for next month’s Thrifty Girl haul!
